Inventory and Purchasing Specialist

We have an immediate need for a full-time Inventory and Purchasing Specialist. We offer a friendly work environment, high visibility, and the opportunity to get experience in many aspects of the operation of a small business.

Summary:

This position provides support for instrument manufacturing, pre-production and repair. The majority of the work day will be working on maintaining inventory.

Specific Duties:

  • Drive a heightened awareness and sense of accountability for inventory control, movement and data processing with both coworkers and management
  • Conduct cycle counting activities, such as reconciliations and inventory audits; meet or exceed inventory accuracy in the warehouse
  • Prepare reports, such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages
  • Data input of work progress, for receipts and/or shipments
  • Ensure integrity of inventory that is received and stored
  • Research the cause(s) and provide feedback with possible corrective action(s) for all inventory discrepancies to include the storage, handling and people processes that affect and are affected by these actions
  • Coordinate and control obsolete, lost and/or damaged inventory activities
  • Oversee the hold area for inventory control, rework scheduling and processing
  • Purchase inventory as needed
  • Be an active participant in team meetings and audits, including any corrective action groups/processes necessary

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ inventory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiar with identifying IC components
  • Must have excellent English language skills, both written and verbal (Required)
  • Must have strong computer skills; proficient in Excel and MS Word
  • Professionalism and punctuality are required

Electro-Mechanical Assembler

We have an immediate need for a full-time Electro-Mechanical Assembler. We offer a friendly work environment, high visibility, and the opportunity to get experience in many aspects of the operation of a small business.

Summary:

The ideal candidate works under minimum supervision and provides support for instrument manufacturing, pre-production R&D and field service related issues. He / She must be able to work from engineering drawings and rough sketches for non-standard equipment in complex unique processes.

Specific Duties:

  • Electronic Assembly, Through-hole soldering, SMT/ Surface Mount Soldering, and Hand Soldering
  • Work on printed circuit boards and solder kitted electronics board. You will have all parts, board, and rough assembly directions.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Assemble electrical or electronic systems and support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, and assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering and micro-welding equipment
  • Drill and tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units, and to provide openings for elements, wiring, and instruments
  • Inspect and test wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits for operation; and record results

Qualifications:

  • Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment and proficiency with electronic testing tools a plus

Electronics Technician

We have an immediate need for a full-time Electronics Technician. We offer a friendly work environment, high visibility, and the opportunity to get experience in many aspects of the operation of a small business.

Summary:

The ideal candidate works under minimum supervision and provides support for instrument manufacturing, pre-production R&D and field service related issues. He / She must be able to work from engineering drawings, schematics, and rough sketches for non-standard equipment in complex unique processes.

Specific Duties:

  • Troubleshoot, to the component level, systems, subsystems, and motor drives that exhibit problems
  • Work with manufacturing engineering personnel to review process instructions and procedures
  • Perform Printed Circuit Board tests and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies
  • Perform calibration testing
  • Recognize failures / setup problems and determine need for appropriate verification
  • Operate programmable auto-tests, samplers, real-time oscilloscopes, pulse generators, meters, power supplies, and special AC test fixtures

Qualifications:

  • AA degree or equivalent technical education / experience
  • Good working knowledge of oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and function generators
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and orally
  • Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment and proficiency with electronic testing tools
  • Ability to read and comprehend electronic / electrical schematics
  • Soldering skills with fine pitch SMT experience
  • Good command of the English language (Required)
